Bobbin of coarse thread. Easy-to-follow instructions. Product Reviews. Amazing repair tool. Posted by Michelle on 25th Feb 2014. I bought this out of curiosity after reading some very positive reviews.
My pack straps broke so i whiped out the Sew Awl Speedy Stitcher and sewed it right up and re stiched the the other Hand to Hand Fighting Manual $19.95.
It seemed interesting and I thought I would try it out repairing some broken straps on some old bags. This product is SO GOOD, when it arrived I repaired EVERY broken piece of kit I had in mind to test it, plus EVERYTHING else I could find! The stitches it makes are so tightly bound in, I'm sure they are stronger than the originals. Plus, it's an absolute JOY to use. You can see how using this with a jig to stitch could go REALLY quickly, as just pulling the back partially needle out after piercing the fabric/webbing makes an instant hole for the locking thread. Even free-handing repairs is amazingly fast, producing professional-looking results with just a little practice.
I'll definitely be buying more spools of waxed thread for this. Money very well spent. Sew Awl Speedy Stitcher.
